Seamless Integration

Information required for the private hospital claim form and HCP statistics is captured automatically through seamless integration with Blue Chip. Blue Chip is HCN's practice management system designed exclusively for Specialists.

Episode Driven

Episodes are created for each patient visit (automatically if linked to Blue Chip). Each episode can then record further information required for State Health statistics.

Episodes can be sorted by patient name or by episode.

Health Department Statistics

Blue Chip Day Surgery can create the statistics for transmission to the Health Department by modem or disk.

Health Department statistics can be compiled for Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

ICD 10 Coding

Blue Chip Day Surgery comes standard with the full ICD 10 coding database. Type in the code to find the principal diagnosis or type in the diagnosis to find the code. Smart fields help speed up coding.

Australian Bureau of Statistics

Let Blue Chip Day Surgery take the hassle out of compiling the ABS report. Choose the standard report from the menu and either transmit the file via modem to the ABS or forward by floppy disk.

Forms

Select the form and it is produced through the laser printer on blank paper. Most forms for recording information can be eliminated as Blue Chip Day Surgery automatically collates the statistics that are needed.

AN-DRG Grouper Link

Let the software query the grouper package. Blue Chip Day Surgery links to 3M’s Grouper Package to pick up the correct AN-DRG for health fund contracts.

Private Hospitals Data Base (PHDB)

Automatically create the statistics for the Private Hospitals Data Bureau. Send by floppy disk or transmit via modem.

Hospital Casemix Protocol (HCP) Reporting

The software automatically compiles the HCP data for the health funds from the information entered. Simply run the HCP creation module, choose the health fund and copy to file or for transmission to the nominated fund. Blue Chip Day Surgery has Group HCP capability.

Procedures Database

Blue Chip Day Surgery comes standard with the full day facility procedures database. To find the code, simply key in the procedure, or if you know the code, type it in and it will automatically fill in the field.
