MD3.6.21 - Examination Module Hotfix for MD3.6.9+
Description:
This Examination Module Hotfix is to address the intermittent crashing, experienced when entering and attempting to save details in the Examination module.
Pre-requisites:
You must be running a minimum of Medical Director 3.6.9 (released 1 August 2007) to apply the hotfix.
Notes:
After successful installation of this update your version of MD3 should report as 3.6.21.
Instructions:
- Click on the download link above.
- When prompted, select the option to 'Save' the hotfix file to your computer. Do NOT select the option to 'Run' the file at this time.
- Select a location on your computer to save and download the hotfix when ready.
- On your computer, ensure that Medical Director is not running.
- Navigate to the location where you downloaded the hotfix, and double-click on it to initiate the installation.
- The Hotfix Installation Wizard opens. If prompted (depending on your computer's security settings), click the 'Run' button to commence the installation. The installation proceeds automatically.
- When complete, the Installation Wizard will close automatically. Perform the installation on every Medical Director computer where you suspect the Examination module anomaly is occurring.

MD2.92 Health Fund Update
The Health Fund database file which was distributed with the MD2 Dec 2007 CDROM (v2.92) was incorrect resulting in the display of false Health Fund information in some patient records.
This small update (patch) fixes this issue by simply replacing the incorrect Health Fund database with a revised file.
Notes:
- This update can only be applied to MD v2.92 (as distributed on the December 2007 MD2 CDROM).
- This is NOT a critical update and is only required if you are storing Health Fund information in your Medical Director patient records.
- Install on the server first, then on all workstations (Make sure MD is not running on any computer on your network during the install).
To install, download this installation program to a directory on your computer and then click (double-click) the 'md292HfUpdate.exe' file to start the installation routine.

MD3.6.14 Update
This download is the MD3.6.14 update for MD3 users. It resolves a number of issues relating to mobility which were reported since the release of MD3.6.9 in August. Contents of this update are detailed in the release notes below.

Installation Instructions
- You MUST ensure you have UPLOADED any DOWNLOADED mobility records before installing this update.
- You MUST have MD3.6.9 (August 2007 CDROM) installed prior to installing this update.
- SERVER: This update includes a schema update. this update MUST be installed on the server first. Medical Director and Pracsoft MUST be closed on all workstations during this installation. All Terminal Server sessions MUST be closed.
- WORKSTATION: You MUST close Medical Director and Pracsoft on ANY workstation in the Practice before installing this update.

MD-CardioPerfect Link
This download is a small installation program which installs the files required to facilitate a link or interface between Medical Director 2 and the new CardioPerfect v1.5 ECG software (Welch Allyn).

Precision Link Software
The Precision Link software was originally supplied on the November 2004 Medical Director CDROM and is required for the correct operation of the MediSense Blood Glucose Monitor.
It is no longer distributed via the MD CDROM but is provided here for those that require this software to operate the MediSense hardware.
Download the zip file (PrecisionLink.zip) by clicking the link above. Extract the contents of the zip file to a directory on your computer and then click (double-click) the 'setup.exe' to start the installation routine.

Oplock Fix v1.1
Modern Windows networks may use two techniques to help increase network performance: Opportunistic Locking (OpLocks) and Read Caching. Unfortunately these methods can also potentially cause severe data integrity issues including data loss and database corruption when using non-SQL based applications on a network.
It is firmly recommended that OpLocks and Read Caching be disabled on your network computers so as to help protect your valuable data. This utility program provides a safe way for you to do this without manually editing the registry.
This Oplock utility (v1.1) replaces the program which was previously posted here and is a revised and more comprehensive solution which covers all Windows operating systems from Win 95 through to Win 2003 server.
Simply download this program to your computer and then open/run the file (OpLockFix.exe) to start the wizard.
